What we collect through this website, why, who sees it and how long we keep it.

Who we are

What we collect
- Your name, phone number, email address (optional), company and how you prefer to be contacted, on every form.
- Shipments: where the cargo starts and ends, what it is, its size and weight, who collects it and, for Florida shipments, the invoices you attach and vehicle details such as the VIN.
- Passenger requests: the route, date and how many adults and children are travelling.
- The status of each booking as it moves through our terminals, entered by our staff.
We never ask for card numbers, bank details or passwords through this website. Payments are made at our offices and ports.
Why we use it
To handle your shipment or trip: confirm the booking, measure and rate the cargo, keep you updated, clear it through customs if you ask us to, and hand it over to the right person. We don't sell your details or use them for unrelated marketing.
Who can see it
MailBoat bookings and dispatch staff, and the agents at the terminals your booking passes through. Agents at other terminals cannot see it. Invoices are stored privately, outside the public website. Tracking online needs your reference and the email or phone number you booked with, and shows only the shipment's progress.
How long we keep it
Bookings and their history for as long as customs and accounting rules require us to keep shipping records; enquiries for up to two years. You can ask us to delete details we no longer need.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete them. Call the head office using the number above.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies needed to send forms securely, remember a shipment you have looked up, and keep staff signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. Your light or dark theme choice is kept in your browser.
